Windsor Championship Show 2017 Critique

Veteran Dog or Bitch 2 (0 abs)

1st Baumann's Muti Ch Regalflight Tarloch, mature, shapely dog with a lovely head and expression. He has a good lay of shoulder, deep chest and nice topline. He moved well with width between his hind legs as he went away and good ground covering strides in profile. A little flamboyant in front movement but he was enjoying himself. Worthy champion, RCC and best Veteran.

2nd Lucas & Dargonne's, Glenmorlich None So Pretty For Packway, another lovely veteran who moved well and looked lovely. V typey with lovely head and expression and beautiful high set ears. Well made and nice outline she did not cover quite so much ground on the move.

Puppy Dog 1 (0 abs)

1st Peach's Kilbourne Lloyd, 11mo dog well grown and well presented. Masculine head, good eye and ear with fair length of neck. Good shoulder and excellent return of upper arm with good fore chest. Nice depth and good topline with good hind quarter angulation. Would like a little more width of thigh, he moved quite well for his age, BP.

Junior Dog 2 (0 abs)

1st Stuart and Holt's Ollandsheart Abraham, eye catching and shapely youngster with a masculine head, good bone and lovely outline. Good front with nice shoulder layback and return of upper arm, good depth of chest, nice topline and tuck up leading into strong well angulated hind quarters. He moved well and has a lovely coat.

2nd Hall's Chullinn Landis a big lad who was enjoying his day out. Good proportions and length of neck, nice front, lovely depth of chest and carry back of ribs. Good hind quarters but needs time to mature and come together. Movement hard to assess as he needs more ring practice but a lovely happy temperament.

Yearling Dog 1 (0 abs)

1st Baumann's Packway Loxley Norton, lovely young male of super type. Nice head, good ears, good neck and depth of chest for age. Well angulated front with nice topline and tuck up and strong well angulated hind quarters. Moved well in profile but would like a little more width behind, rather unsettled today.

Post Graduate Dog 2 (2 abs)

1st Pink's Greyhawks Romanie Drom. This was a nice class of males each with their own merits. Winner was a mature 4 year old of good size and substance, nice outline and good proportions. He has a nice head with rose ears, good length of neck, nice lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Good depth of chest with ribs carried well back and well angulated hind quarters, low hocks and with the best profile width of thigh here today. He tended to pace initially but finally got into his stride and moved with an easy ground covering gait. Pleased to award him the dog CC.

2nd Grimshaw's Greyflax The Jazz Singer to Jamalison, this 3 yr old is quite mature and shapely, he looked lovely standing. Dark dog with a good coat, masculine head and good neck running into nice shoulders. Good depth of chest and nice length of body with good hind quarters. He moved soundly but lacked extension today.

3rd Lewis' Luckhurst Nairn.

Open Dog 4 (2 abs)

1st Peach's Ch Rubeus Hagrid To Kilbourne, still only 2 yrs and has some more maturing to do but a worthy champion. Medium size, dark dog who can rose his ears. Nice outline and well presented. Well made with good depth and ribbing, good front and hind angulation and a good coat. Would like a little more width of thigh. He moved well.

2nd Constantine's Kaleginy The Forester, lighter grey medium size dog of 2 1/2 yrs. Lovely head and expression, nice type with good fore quarters, nice topline and well angulated hind quarters. Moved soundly but lacked enthusiasm today.

Good Citizen Dog or Bitch, Minor puppy Bitch, Puppy Bitch all had no entries.

Junior Bitch 3 (3 abs) Yearling Bitch 2 (0abs)

1st Lucas and Dargonne's Packway Little Loxley, v pretty, shapely bitch with a nice head and eye. Well made all through with good lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Good topline and underline with nice width of thigh and strong well muscled hind quarters. Moved soundly and in the challenge covered a lot of ground on the move with good extension and a long easy stride. Well deserved RCC.

2nd Bailey's Greyflax Lady Sings The Blu's. Young bitch of nice type with a lovely head and expression and fine, rose ears. Needs time to mature but moved well with good extension in profile. Would like more fore chest and is a shade on the long side.

Post Graduate Bitch 4 (0 abs)

A very nice class of bitches.

1st Helps' Beardswood Taisie, striking dark and shapely girl of good size and substance. Nice head and neck, good lay of shoulder and return of upper arm and good length of leg. Nice topline and depth of chest with powerful drooping hind quarters and lovely thick tail. She moved well in the class but sadly did not perform as well in the challenge.

2nd Peach's Blixten Star to Kilbourne, v attractive, quality youngster, well made all through but still needs more time to mature. Moved well.

3rd Taylor's Minerva Mcgonagall Of Ormanstar.

Limit Bitch 7 (2 abs)

Another lovely class with quality extending down the line.

1st Wragg's Neroche Jeska, lovely typical bitch with a nice head and expression and neat ears. An aquiline nose just adds the finishing touch. Presents a lovely picture standing with good outline and proportions. Neck of good length runs into a good shoulder and upper arm, good depth and length of body with pleasing croup and nice hind angulation. She moved soundly and in the challenge again showed lovely easy movement with a good length of stride. Pleased to award her the CC and BOB.

2nd Help's Beardswood Quintessence, quality mature bitch really at her best. Well made with good length of leg and nice proportions. Shown in lovely coat and condition she moved well but could not match the length of stride of winner.

3rd Bailey's Greyflax Teen Spirit.

Open Bitch 6(5abs)

1st Constantine's Gentihun Adelaide of Kaleginy Sh.CM stood alone but is a very nice bitch. She is very typical with a lovely head and expression and beautiful ears. Well balanced with a strong neck, good front and lovely topline. Strong hind quarters with good width of thigh and good angulation. Lovely example of the breed she moved well but lacked enthusiasm today.
